The only grilled chicken we ate growing up (other than BBQ on the bone) was Mom's marinated chicken. This marinade will work in a few hours but is even better when left overnight. Will work to cook it on the grill or on the stove.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup oil (olive)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
boneless, skinless chicken breasts
If more liquid is needed, add equal amounts of the soy sauce and oil.
Although it was eaten many times as a kid, it's still just as good.
