Southwestern black bean burgers and Sweet Potato Fries

You will need:
* 1 can(s) (15 to 19 ounces) black beans, rinsed and drained
* 2 tablespoon(s) light mayonnaise
* 1/4 cup(s) packed fresh cilantro leaves, chopped
* 1 tablespoon(s) plain dried bread crumbs
* 1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
* 1/2 teaspoon(s) hot pepper sauce
* Nonstick cooking spray
* 1 cup(s) loosely packed sliced lettuce
* whole wheat pitas - cut in half
* 1/2 cup(s) mild salsa
Preparation:
Mash beans with potato masher, mash in mayonnaise until almost smooth (some lumps of beans should remain). Stir in cilantro, bread crumbs, cumin, and pepper sauce until combined. With lightly floured hands, shape bean mixture into four 3-inch round patties. Spray both sides of each patty lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
Heat skillet over medium heat until hot. Add patties, sprayed side up, and cook until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. on each side.
Serve with pitas and top with salsa.
Fries:
You will need:
1/2 teaspoon(s) ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) ground red pepper
1 tablespoon(s) vegetable oil
2 large (about 1 1/2 pounds) sweet pot
Prep:
Combine cumin, salt, and pepper. Set aside. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Peel potatoes, cut each in half lengthwise, and cut each half into 6 wedges. In a large bowl, combine the cut potatoes, oil, and spice mixture. Toss until potatoes are evenly coated.
On a baking sheet, arrange potatoes in a single layer and place on the middle shelf of the oven. Bake until edges are crisp and potatoes are cooked through -- about 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
